I became a fulltime potter in 1969 as a member of Browns Mill, Auckland’s first craft market, making wheel thrown domestic ware, fired in a large diesel fueled kiln. After about 12 years, domestic duties took over and when I began potting again I started working in porcelain (a very fine translucent white form of clay which is more difficult to throw) and decorating with lustres to achieve subtle shades of colour.
Currently I am working exclusively in a New Zealand made porcelain and high fired glazes I have developed over the last two years .
My work is represented in the collections of Wallace Arts Trust, Waikato Museum, and
Tairawhiti Museum, Gisborne
My current porcelain domestic ware is available for sale at Masterworks Gallery in Ponsonby Rd
