My work has its roots in natural forms. My early work was much influenced by natural shapeS like bones and the human body. This early direction was reinforced by study of dance and the human body in movement.
Whilst traveling in Europe, North America and Australasia I was inspired by natural shapes in the environment from cacti to river stones and feathers. These forms are the starting point for many of my designs.
The human form has continued to be my biggest influence and the exhibition Body in 1999 had a collection of over 40 pieces using the human body as a starting point.
I live and work in a suburb of New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland, where I have opened a Gallery
